BJP’s Maharashtra Executive Committee to Meet in Pune on Monday; Fadnavis, Tawde to Attend
Pune, 28th August 2026: The Maharashtra state executive committee meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be held in Pune on Monday (August 31), with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP national general secretary and MP Vinod Tawde scheduled to attend.
The meeting will be chaired by BJP Maharashtra president Ravindra Chavan. This will be the first state executive committee meeting to be held under Chavan’s chairmanship since he took charge as the party’s state president.
BJP state general secretary Rajesh Pandey and Pune city president Dheeraj Ghate announced the meeting at a press conference on Friday. State secretary Varsha Dahale, city general secretaries Punit Joshi, Deepak Pote and Vishwas Nanaware, and office-bearers Yogesh Bachal, Amol Kavitkar and Pushkar Tuljapurkar were also present.
The meeting will begin at 9am at the Ganesh Kala Krida Kendra in Swargate.
Senior party functionaries from across Maharashtra, including central and state office-bearers, MPs, MLAs, members of the state executive, national and state council members, district presidents, district general secretaries, district in-charges, state and district office-bearers of various party fronts, mandal presidents, and former MPs and MLAs, are expected to attend.
The meeting will discuss the party’s upcoming organisational plans and other issues. Resolutions on political and social issues will also be presented during the meeting.
