Pune, 8th February 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC Ram Shinde on Saturday credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the party’s victory in Delhi, marking its return to power after 27 years in the national capital.

The counting of votes is still going on in Delhi, where BJP is leading on 45 out of 70 seats

Speaking on the Delhi election results, Shinde stated, “The Bharatiya Janata Party has once again captured Delhi under the leadership of a respected world leader and our beloved Prime Minister. After nearly three decades, BJP is making a strong comeback in its own capital.”

He added that while BJP and its allies were winning across the country, many party workers initially felt uncertain about the Delhi outcome. However, he emphasized that the victory is a reflection of the people’s trust in PM Modi’s leadership.

“The success in Delhi belongs entirely to the Bharatiya Janata Party and the unwavering support of the people,” Shinde asserted.

Responding to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks, Shinde accused the opposition of repeatedly questioning the credibility of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) whenever they face electoral defeat.

“The Congress plays the same emotional game every time. If they lose an election, they blame EVMs. But when they won Karnataka, the same EVMs were perfectly fine. Their entire strategy revolves around blaming and defaming others,” he remarked.

Shinde further claimed that Congress would likely raise doubts about the Delhi election results as well. “Right now, BJP is winning in Delhi. In a while, they will start blaming EVMs here too,” he said.

Slamming allegations of bogus voters, he questioned, “If fake voters existed, why raise objections only after losing? If you win, then EVMs are fine, but if you lose, the blame goes to the machines?”
