Body of Missing Pune Girl Found in Neera River, Investigation On

Dhankawadi, 22nd January 2023: The body of a girl who went missing from the Dhankawadi area of Pune was found in a river in the Khandala area of Satara district. The case is being investigated by Sahakarnagar police station officials.

The name of the deceased girl is Neha Sharad Pilane (20), a resident of Jaynath Chowk, Dhankawadi, who hailed from Wangani in Velhe taluka.

According to police, Neha went missing from her residence on January 13. Her family had filed a missing complaint at Sahakarnagar police station. Neha’s body was found on 15th January in the Neera riverbed in the Khandala area of the Satara district. After the body was found in the river, the police identified it.

Meanwhile, the police have started an investigation into how Neha went missing and whether she died by suicide or was it an accident, informed Senior Police Inspector Savalaram Salgaonkar of Sahkarnagar Police Station.
