Bopodi reports 14 more cases of COVID-19; count exceeds 138

Pune, June 12, 2020: The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Bopodi doesn’t seem to stop. As many as 14 patients have been reported in this locality today as well. Although, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) administration, politicians and health workers have come together to fight against the deadly virus.

Talking to PunekarNews.in, ward officer Jaydeep Pawar said, “There are 14 more positive cases at Survey no. 24,25,26.This area is a containment zone and we are taking necessary precautions with the help of police officials and local administration to fight against the spread of COVID-19.”

Meanwhile, there were three positive cases reported at Ambedkar Nagar in Aundh yesterday and 5 people have been quarantined, confirmed Pawar.

Till 3 pm today, out of 10,973 infected patients from Pune district,6912 patients have recovered. The number of active patients is 3596. A total of 465 patients have died. Also, 259 patients are critical, and the rest are under observation. The recovery rate in the Pune district is 62.99 percent, informed Divisional Commissioner Dr Deepak Mhaisekar.
