Jerry MacArthur Hultin, currently Chairman of the New York Academy of Sciences and President Emeritus of Polytechnic Institute of NYU and Dr. Mukesh Aghi, President and CEO, U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF).

“We are thrilled to welcome Mukesh and Jerry to our advisory board. They bring with them a passion for mentoring and working with young students, a deep understanding of global higher education and technology, and vast experience in managing organizations that meet the education and skills challenges of the coming decades. Their expertise will help our team as we scale our business. Our advisory board will play an essential role in the strategic direction of the company”, stated Mr. Harjiv Singh, Founder and CEO of BrainGain Global.

Mr. Hultin is a noted innovator and academic, business, and government leader who brings decades of experience transforming organizations to deliver the skills and services needed to compete in the 21st century. As a leader of New York University, he played a key role in establishing NYU’s science and technology prominence and designing NYU’s global campuses in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai. Currently, he is the new Chair of the New York Academy of Sciences and Executive-in-Residence for Urban Innovation at Arizona State University, ranked Number 1 in innovation in the world. In addition, Mr. Hultin is a mentor to nearly 100 young students and graduates around the world and an advisor on urban innovation, automation, and infrastructure for the World Economic Forum (Davos) and the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils.

Mr. Hultin served as the Under Secretary of the Navy for President Bill Clinton and recently served as a member of the Defense Business Board for President Barack Obama. He has been an advisor to numerous presidential candidates in the United States including Vice President Al Gore, and Secretaries of State John Kerry and Hillary Clinton.

Mr. Hultin said, “Because talent is replacing oil as the key to value in the 21st century, Harjiv’s vision for BrainGain Global of creating a global marketplace to match students to the best global universities is exactly what young students and parents need. Now education is even more important as climate change threatens the future of the world and automation and robots are about to change the future of work. Young people are increasingly eager to change the world, yet they realize they will need new skills and education not once but many times. Experiential learning and short courses will serve a critical role in their careers.

“During my time building new education programs around the world, I have seen how difficult it is for young students and their parents to find the right college or university. BrainGain Global is a fresh and effective way to meet these challenges, especially in helping students find the best international campuses, to get exposure to different cultures and mindsets, and to learn the skills they will need to succeed in the coming decades of their young lives”, Mr. Hultin further added.

Dr. Aghi is an equally seasoned leader in academia, business, and government. He was the founding CEO of Universitas 21 Global. It is the world’s largest consortium of research-led universities and one of the leading providers of online post-graduate programs across the globe. He is also a trustee at Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Aghi has enjoyed a successful corporate career, having served as the Chief Executive and board member at L&T Infotech, where he distinguished himself by expanding the business at a global level. He also worked in leading roles at IBM India, Steria, Inc., Ariba Inc., and J.D Edwards & Co. Currently, he is the President and CEO of the US-India Strategic Partner Forum. He works closely with business and government leaders from the United States and India to promote trade and strengthen ties between both nations.

“I am excited to be a part of BrainGain’s Advisory Board. According to the Open Doors Report of 2019, India sends the second-largest number of international students to the U.S. By 2030, India will be amongst the youngest nations in the world. With nearly 140 million people in the college-going age group, one in every four graduates in the world will be a product of the Indian higher education system. The universities in the U.S. should focus on India for international students as well as for exchange programs with universities. BrainGain Academy plays a pivotal role in sending a diverse set of international students to global universities. BrainGain Magazine remains the largest source of information on international higher education. I look forward to being a part of the journey as the business grows,” remarked Dr. Aghi.
