BREAKING NEWS: Maharashtra Government Announces Lockdown End In 5 Phases

Pune/Mumbai, 3rd June 2021: Maharashtra cabinet minister Vijay Wadettiwar today informed that the state government will end the lockdown in five phases in the state. For this, all the districts and Municipal Corporations of the state have been divided into 43 parts.
The minister said that the districts with a positivity rate of 5 percent and oxygen beds with less than 25 percent occupancy will be completely unlocked. Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area has a positivity rate of 6.24% while 22% oxygen beds are occupied.

“Complete unlocking will start in 18 districts in the first phase”, said Wadettiwar, Relief & rehabilitation minister.
At present, the state government has extended the lockdown till June 15. Shops have been allowed to open from 7 am to 2 pm only.
18 districts in the first phase: Thane, Aurangabad, Latur, Nanded, Jalna, Parbhani, Buldhana, Nashik, Jalgaon, Dhule, Nagpur, Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Gondia, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal
6 districts in the second phase: Ahmednagar, Amravati, Hingoli, Mumbai, Mumbai Suburbs, Nandurbar
10 districts in the third phase: Akola, Beed, Kolhapur, Osmanabad, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg, Solapur
2 districts in the fourth phase: Pune, Raigad
In the first phase, these things started in 18 districts with a positivity rate of less than 5 percent
Restaurants, malls
Gardens, walking, treks will begin
Private, government offices will start 100 percent
Film shooting
Theatres
Public events, wedding ceremonies
E-commerce
Gym, salon
No curfew
Buses to operate with full capacity
Inter-district travel allowed
There will be some restrictions on those coming from other states, orders will be issued later
Level 1 – Everything Allowed
Level 2 districts?
Restaurants to open with 50 percent sitting capacity
Malls, theatres to open with 50 percent capacity
Public spaces, grounds, walking tracks to open
Construction, agricultural works
E-commerce
Gym, salon, spa, wellness centres with 50 percent capacity
Buses at full capacity
Private cars, buses, long trains, private trains, taxis are allowed outside the district but e-pass is required to reach the fifth level districts.
What will be allowed in a Level 3 district?
All shops can open from 7 am to 2 pm
Non-essential shops allowed to open from Monday to Friday only
What about Mumbai Local?
The second level includes Mumbai, Mumbai Suburbs, Nandurbar districts. Local will not start in Mumbai at present.
In the case of state restrictions, 5 phases have been decided and the criteria for weekly positivity rate and availability of oxygen beds are being scrutinized by all the administrative units and districts. This will be implemented after a thorough review. The state government has said that clear information about this will be informed through an official order.
