BREAKING NEWS: Malls, Reading Rooms To Open In Pune, Business Hours For Shops And Restaurants Increased

Pune, 11th June 2021: After over two months, malls and reading rooms, as well as libraries, will re-open in Pune municipal corporation (PMC) areas. A decision in this regard was taken today at the Corona review meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
BJP MLA from Shivajinagar, Siddharth Shirole, said, “Formal notification and details awaited, but updated relaxations for PMC are shops can remain open till 7 pm. Restaurants can remain open till 10 pm at 50% capacity. Malls can reopen at 50% capacity. Libraries, reading rooms can reopen at 50% capacity.”
Earlier PMC Additional Commissioner Rubal Agarwal had tweeted that “Punekars will get good news”

At present shops are allowed to open till 4 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, non-essential shops are not allowed.
