Brother From Nepal Came To Pune In Search Of His Minor Sister; Girl Rescued By Police

Yerwada, 26th May 2023: A young girl from Nepal was abducted by a young man and brought to Pune in lure of marriage. The girl was held down and tortured. After the girl’s brother got information about the same, he came to Pune from Nepal and informed a social organization about this.
The Social Security Department of the Crime branch rescued the minor girl from the clutches of the youth. In this regard, a case was registered against the youth at the Yerwada police station.
In this regard, a case has been registered against Mohammed Rafiq Sheikh (23), currently residing in Yerwada and a native of Nepal. The accused Sheikh is originally from Nepal. He lured a 17-year-old girl from Nepal into a love trap.
The accused Sheikh works as a daily wage worker. He brought her to Pune. He kept her in a room in the Yerwada area. Sheikh had forbidden her to go out and talk to the neighbors. He then used to abuse her. Sheikh used to keep her locked in the room after going to work. The young girl was scared because of Sheikh’s abusive behavior. She contacted her brother in Nepal through his mobile without Sheikh’s knowledge.
After that, the girl’s brother came to Pune. He contacted a social organization in the Hadapsar area. The workers of the social organization informed about this the Social Security Department of the Crime branch. Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav instructed the investigation team to search for the girl. Assistant Police Inspectors Aniket Pote, Rajesh Malgave, and Ashwini Patil started searching for the girl.
According to the information received during the technical investigation, it was reported that the girl was in the golf club area of Yerwada. It was difficult to find the girl in the densely populated area. Her brother had given the police a description of the area where she lived. A police team reached there. The police then rescued her from the room.
After completing the legal process, the police handed over the girl to her brother. The said action was taken under the guidance of Police Commissioner Retesh Kummaar, Joint Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, Additional Commissioner Ramnath Pokle, and Deputy Commissioner Amol Zende.
