Builder’s Day celebrated in Pune

Pune 19th December 2019: Builders’ Day is celebrated every year to pay tributes to the Builders, Engineers & Contractors and acknowledge their contribution in the Nation Building. The theme for 2019-20 was “Construction Technology – WAY TO US $ 5 Trillion Economy”.Builders Association of India ( BAI ) Pune recently celebrated Builder’s Day by felicitating all senior members for their contribution to the sector. Chief Guest Mr. Vivek Gadgil – Former Senior Vice President M/s. L&T Construction graced the event .

Mr. Gadgil during his key note address touched various points related to the construction industry, also urged that Contractors are the Key People in the life of every citizen and they should be called as “NATION Builders”. The role of the Contractor is very important and crucial in the development but neglected by the society. There are number of structures built by the contractors in ancient time as well in recent times. He further mentioned that the Builders’ Day is celebrated every year to pay tributes to the Builders, Engineers & Contractors and acknowledge their contribution in the Nation Building. The theme for 2019-20 was “Construction Technology – WAY TO US $ 5 Trillion Economy” is only possible with the whole hearted contribution of the Civil Engineers .

Amongst those felicitated included Dr. Rajeev B Krishnani, Past Vice President & Senior Member BAI Pune Centre, Mahesh Mirani, Past Chairman & Senior Member BAI Pune Centre, M. S. Punjabi, Senior member of Pune Centre.

Dr. R. B Krishnani expressed his feelings and also appealed to fellow contractors that it is good to see that the next generation of the contractors are willingly joining the stream inspite of lack of recognition.

Manoj Deshmukh, Chairman BAI Pune Centre, Ashok Atkekar, Vice Chairman Mr. Ajay Gujar, Hon. Treasurer, Executive Engineer Mr. R. S. Verma , Arun Dharam, President, MEPA, Pune, Shivkumar Bhalla, Convenor, Ar. Mrinalini Sane Mr. and Senior Members of BAI Pune Centre were present on the occasion . Members shared their experiences and enlightening thoughts to encourage others for performing and achieving better. Sanjay Apte, Hon. Secretary BAI Pune Centre delivered the vote of thanks .
