CBI Raids Pune Revenue Department Official for Alleged Bribery
Pune, 9th June 2023: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid on a senior official in the revenue department in Pune. Anil Ganpatrao Ramod, the Additional Divisional Commissioner of Pune, was caught red-handed by CBI officers accepting a bribe of Rs 8 lakh.
The CBI officers entered the Divisional Commissioner’s office and laid a trap to apprehend Ramod in connection with a land-related matter adjacent to a highway. The preliminary information suggests that the entire transaction revolved around this land issue, and the CBI acted swiftly to catch Ramod in the act of accepting the bribe.
