Pune, 9th June 2023: Lonavala, Karla Caves, and Khandala are currently experiencing a severe thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rainfall, as reported by Vineet Kumar, a renowned research scientist specializing in ocean-cyclone interaction and changes in cyclone activity.
Motorists traveling on the Pune-Mumbai expressway should exercise caution, particularly while passing through the ghat areas, due to the challenging weather conditions. The combination of low visibility and slippery road surfaces increases the risk of accidents. Drivers are urged to prioritize their safety and take necessary precautions.
