CBSE Announces 2025 Board Exam Timetable, Exams to Begin on 15th February
New Delhi, 21st November 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the timetable for the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. According to the official notice, the exams will begin on 15th February 2025.
The Class 10 exams will start with English, while the Class 12 exams will begin with Entrepreneurship.
The official notice states: “For the first time, the date sheets have been issued 86 days before the exams, which is 23 days earlier than the 2024 release. This early announcement is possible due to the prompt submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) by schools.”

Additionally, CBSE has provided details about the practical exams. For Class 10, practical exams will start on January 1, 2025, while Class 12 practicals will begin on February 15, 2025. A previous circular outlined the distribution of marks for theory, practicals, projects, and internal assessments.
Class 12 practicals will be overseen by an external examiner visiting schools, whereas Class 10 practicals will be conducted by school teachers.
