Central Railway Announces CSMT–Kolhapur Special Trains via Pune

Pune/Mumbai, 10th February 2026: Central Railway will operate six special train services between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai and Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus, Kolhapur, via Pune, to meet increased passenger demand on this corridor.

According to the schedule released by Central Railway, Train No. 01029 CSMT–Kolhapur Special will depart from CSMT at 14.30 hrs on February 13, 18 and 20, 2026, reaching Kolhapur at 04.20 hrs the following day. In the return direction, Train No. 01030 Kolhapur–CSMT Special will leave Kolhapur at 15.55 hrs on February 14, 19 and 21, 2026, and arrive at CSMT at 04.05 hrs the next day.

The special trains will halt at Dadar, Thane (only for Train No. 01030), Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Jejuri, Lonand, Satara, Karad, Kirloskarvadi, Sangli and Miraj, providing connectivity to key stations along the Pune section and adjoining regions.

Each train will run with a composition of four AC 3-Tier coaches, eight Sleeper Class coaches, four General Second Class coaches and two General Second Class-cum-Guard’s Brake Vans.

Reservations for Train Nos. 01029 and 01030 are currently open at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and on the IRCTC website. Bookings for unreserved coaches can be made through the UTS system. Detailed halt timings are available on the Indian Railways enquiry portal and the NTES mobile application.
