Central Railway Announces Major Disruptions in Train Services, 114 Train Cancelled/ Diverted Due to Yard Remodeling Work

Pune, 9th January 2024: In a recent press release, Central Railway disclosed significant cancellations and diversions in train services owing to the ongoing non-interlocking work for yard remodeling at Mathura Junction, part of the Agra division of North Central Railway.

Numerous trains originating and passing through Central Railway will face cancellation during specific periods. Notable among these are the CSMT-Amritsar Express (11057) from January 20th to February 3rd and its return journey (11058) from January 23rd to February 6th. The Pune-Jammu Tawi Express (11077) and its counterpart (11078) are canceled from January 10th to February 4th and January 12th to February 6th, respectively.

Several other trains are also affected, including the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus Kolhapur-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (12147/12148), Madgaon-Chandigarh Express (12449/12450), and many more.

Moreover, various trains are diverted via alternate routes during this period. For instance, the Firozepurr-Csmt Express (12138), Ernakulam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (12617/12618), Chennai-New Delhi Express (12621/12622), and others will ply through different routes such as Agra Cant, Mitawali, Ghaziabad, among others.

The Railway administration urges passengers to check the current status of trains via the Railway enquiry system. Passengers are requested to bear with the inconvenience caused due to these necessary infrastructural upgrades.
