Central Railway Extends Periodicity of 455 Special Trains on Pune Division to Address Passenger Rush

Pune, 20th December 2023: Central Railway has announced the extension of the periodicity of several special train services on the Pune Division, aimed at accommodating the surge in passenger demand. This extension covers a total of 455 trips across various routes, ensuring smoother travel options for commuters.

The details of the extended train services are as follows:

Train No. 01439, a bi-weekly special running from Pune to Amravati on Fridays and Sundays, initially scheduled until December 31, 2023, is now prolonged until March 31, 2024, encompassing an additional 26 trips.

Train No. 01440, operating bi-weekly from Amravati to Pune on Saturdays and Mondays, initially slated until January 1, 2024, is extended to run until April 1, 2024, adding 26 more trips to its schedule.

Train No. 01024, a daily special from Kolhapur to Pune, which was scheduled until December 31, 2023, is now extended until March 31, 2024, accommodating an extra 91 trips.

Train No. 01023, the daily special service from Pune to Kolhapur, initially planned until January 1, 2024, is now prolonged until March 31, 2024, with an additional 90 trips.

Train No. 02144, a weekly special from Nagpur to Pune on Thursdays, initially notified until December 28, 2023, is extended to run until February 15, 2024, with 7 more trips added.

Train No. 02143, the Pune-Nagpur weekly special on Fridays, initially set until December 29, 2023, is now extended to operate until February 16, 2024, adding 7 extra trips.

Train No. 01487 and Train No. 01488, both daily specials between Pune and Harangul, initially scheduled until December 31, 2023, are now extended until March 31, 2024, incorporating an additional 91 trips each.

Train No. 01435 and Train No. 01436, weekly specials between Solapur-LTT (Mumbai) and LTT-Solapur, respectively, are extended from their initial dates of December 26 and 27, 2023, to operate until March 26 and 27, 2024, adding 13 trips to each service.

The extension of these special trains does not involve any alterations in their timings, compositions, or scheduled halts.

Reservation Information: Bookings for the extended trips of these special trains will commence immediately on special charges, while bookings for these specials will open on special charges starting from December 22, 2023. Passengers can make reservations at all computerized reservation centers and via the website www.irctc.co.in.
