Central Railway Extends Pune-Amravati Special Express To Meet Growing Passenger Demand

Pune, 19th June 2023: In a move to cater to the increasing response from passengers, the Central Railway has announced the extension of the Pune-Amravati-Pune Express. Originally scheduled to run until 2nd July, the train will now operate until 28th and 30th July, in an effort to provide comfort to the travellers.

The Pune-Amravati Special Express, designated as Train No. 01439, was introduced in December last year and runs twice a week. Departing from Pune at 10:50 PM every Friday and Sunday, the train will continue its services from 30th June to 30th July. The route will include stops at Daund, Kurduwadi, Latur, Parbhani, and Hingoli before reaching Akola railway station at 2:55 PM on the next day (Saturday and Monday). After a brief 5-minute halt, the train will proceed towards its final destination, Amravati.

Conversely, the Amravati-Pune Special Express, designated as Train No. 01440, will depart from Amravati at 7:50 AM every Saturday and Monday, starting from 1st July until 31st July. The train will pass through Badnera-Murtijapur before reaching Akola station at 9:20 PM on the same day. Continuing its journey, it will arrive at Pune railway station at 4:20 PM on the next day (Sunday and Tuesday).
