Central Railway Runs Special Trains Between Pune, Hadapsar, Nagpur and Rani Kamalapati
Pune, 25th December 2025: To manage the surge in passenger traffic during Christmas, New Year and the winter travel season, Central Railway has announced the operation of multiple winter special trains on special charges. The services will be run in coordination with West Central Railway, connecting key routes between Nagpur, Pune (Hadapsar) and Rani Kamalapati.
According to a press release issued by the Pune Division of Central Railway, the special trains are aimed at clearing extra rush during peak holiday travel in late December 2025 and early January 2026. Bookings for all the announced services will open on December 26 through Passenger Reservation System counters and the IRCTC website.
Nagpur–Hadapsar superfast special
Central Railway will operate Train No. 01221/01222 Nagpur–Hadapsar–Nagpur Superfast Special with four trips in each direction. The Nagpur–Hadapsar service will depart at 7.40 pm on December 26, 29 and 31, 2025, and January 2, 2026, reaching Hadapsar the following morning at 11.25 am. The return service from Hadapsar will leave at 3.50 pm on December 28 and 30, 2025, and January 1 and 4, 2026, arriving in Nagpur at 6.30 am the next day.
The train will halt at Ajni, Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Pachora, Chalisgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahmednagar, Daund Chord Line and Uruli. It will run with a composition of AC First Class, AC 2-Tier and AC 3-Tier coaches along with guard and luggage vans.
Pune–Nagpur weekly special
Train No. 01419/01420 Pune–Nagpur–Pune Weekly Special will also run four trips in each direction. The Pune–Nagpur service will depart from Pune at 8.30 pm on December 27, 29 and 31, 2025, and January 3, 2026, reaching Nagpur at 2.05 pm the next day. The return train will leave Nagpur at 4.10 pm on December 28 and 30, 2025, and January 1 and 4, 2026, arriving in Pune at 11.45 am the following day.
This service will halt at Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Pachora, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha. The rake will consist entirely of AC 3-Tier coaches with generator vans.
Rani Kamalapati–Hadapsar superfast special
Central Railway has also announced Train No. 02156/02155 Rani Kamalapati–Hadapsar–Rani Kamalapati Superfast Special with three trips in each direction. The Rani Kamalapati–Hadapsar service will depart at 8.40 am on Saturdays—December 27, 2025, and January 3 and 10, 2026—and arrive at Hadapsar shortly after midnight.
The return service will operate on Sundays, departing Hadapsar at 7.50 am on December 28, 2025, and January 4 and 11, 2026, and reaching Rani Kamalapati at 11.40 pm the same day.
Halts for this train include Narmadapuram, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Manmad, Kopargaon, Ahmednagar (Ahilyanagar) and Daund Chord Line. The train will have a mix of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier Economy, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.
Central Railway has advised passengers to verify train timings, halts and availability before commencing their journey, as these are special services running for a limited period during the winter holiday season.
