CHANGE OF COMMAND AT AIR FORCE STATION LOHEGAON, PUNE

Air Commodore KV Surendran Nair took over as Air officer Commanding, Air Force Station Lohegaon, Pune with effect from 02 Jan 17 from Air Commodore AK Bharti VM who heads out to National Defence College(NDC).

Air Commodore KV Surendran Nair is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and was commissioned into Fighter Stream of IAF on 11 Jan 1988. He is a qualified flying instructor, a fighter combat leader, a graduate of DSSC (Defence Services Staff College) Wellington and National Defence College. The Air Officer is fully conversant in MiG-21 and MiG-29 aircrafts.

The Air Officer has rich experience as an instructor on HPT-32, Kiran Iskaraand MiG-21 aircrafts. He has commanded an operational Fighter Squadron and a premier Air Force Station.

The Air Officer is married to Mrs. Priyadarshini Nair and the couple is blessed with a son. Mrs. Priyadarshini Nair has assumed the charge of President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Local).
