Change Of Roles : Students Become Municipal Commissioner Of PCMC And Municipal Commissioner Becomes A Teacher At School For A Day
Pune 4th Sept 2023: The Pimpri Chichwad Municipal Corporation on Monday welcomed their new bosses for a day under a unique intiative. Two students studying in class VII were made municipal commissioners of the civic body for a day to celebrate the teachers day while the municipal commissioner changed his role to become a teacher at the municipal school.
The security guards posted the municipal corporation saluted their new bosses to start their day with and the two children Karan Kakde and Apeksha Mali assumed their roles for a day. The two students lso held a review meeting with the the officials of the municipal corporation. They also visited the fire brigade office in the city to review the preparedness to handle the emergency calls.
The municipal school on the same day witnessed a new teacher as the municipal commissioner had become a teacher for a day. “I performed the role of a teacher under our ‘Job Switch’ initiative while the students played a role of municipal commissioner for a day. I felt happy while answering the questions asked by students. Some of them also shared their feedback to change the education system which made me think about several things” Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh said.
It may be noted that Teachers Day is celebrated on September 5 and the municipal corporation had implemented the unique initiative on Monday.
