Chef In Day, Thief At Night : Pune Police Arrest Man From Haryana For Theft And Solve Two Cases

Pune 17th August 2023: The Pune City Police have arrested a man for allegedly breaking-in the houses in the city area. The accused who was working as chef at a hotel in Mundhwa was found involved in two theft related cases reported in the city limits.

According to the police, the accused identified as Furkan Naeem Khan (21) a resident of Panipat district of Haryana was arrested from Pimpri Chinchwad after his involvement was revealed. The Pune City Police officials at Chandannagar Police Station were investigating a case related to a house break-in incident reported in the city. The accused had stolen cash in foreign currency worth Rs 3.07 Lakh from the house.

During the investigation, the police team checked CCTV footage of the area and the accused was spotted in one such footage. Further investigation in the case led police to Furkan and he was nabbed. He also confessed to his involvement in house break-in incident reported in Kharadi area. With his arrest, the police have managed to solve two cases of house break-ins reported in the city.
