China, 28th November 2022: Demonstrations are taking place in China due to the zero covid policy and lockdown. It is the biggest demonstration of President Xi Jinping’s tenure, in which people have taken to the streets to protest against the government’s decision. It is also the biggest demonstration in China in the last three decades.

The protest against the lockdown first started in Beijing. After this, the protest spread to many cities in China, from Xinjiang in the west to Zhengzhou in central China and Chongqing and Guangdong in the south. Demonstrations have become very fierce in many cities in China.

This can be gauged from the fact that the heat of the protest is reaching President Xi Jinping. The protesters are demanding the resignation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The protesters have candles and placards in their hands. Thousands of people are clicking pictures from their mobile phones and uploading them on social media.

The communist government in China has brought a zero covid policy. Under this, people are facing big problems. Millions of people are imprisoned in homes in China. People are being tortured under the strict lockdown in China. People are being forced to undergo mass testing in China.

During this, demonstrations in Shanghai, Nanjing and Guangzhou turned violent. Clashes between local policemen and protesters have been witnessed in many places. The situation in Shanghai, with a population of 26 million, is extremely critical. The situation there is uncontrollable. The protesters are demanding the President’s resignation. Videos of the protest are coming on social media. It is visible in the video that protesters have been arrested in Shanghai for the third consecutive day.

Protesters in China have become very aggressive. This can be gauged from the fact that the protesters are attacking the police. To control the crowd of 300 people here, the police have used black pepper spray. Here the public was raising slogans that the Communist Party should leave the throne. Along with this, people were shouting ‘Unlock China’, ‘Freedom of the press is needed.’

In 2020, the Corona epidemic started hunting many countries of the world. At that time, China was accused of being negligent and not locking down Wuhan. At that time, to save China from embarrassment, Jinping launched the Zero Covid policy. Under this, testing was done on a large scale. Strict isolation rules were imposed in China. Travels were banned in China. China believes this policy will remain in force as long as there is even a single case of coronavirus. According to the government, this policy is completely based on the rules of science.

China’s official newspaper Global Times has targeted Western media for allegedly spreading discontent about China’s lockdown. It states that due to ideological differences, it has become a tendency to criticize western countries and communist governments. It has been said in the newspaper that there have been demonstrations in China before. It says that last week there was a protest at the world’s largest iPhone factory in the Chinese city of Zhejiang. The paper further states that there was also a clash between the protestors and the police.
