Chinchwad girl kidnapped for Rs 50 lakhs ransom, police rescue her safely

Pimpri – Thursday evening there was a panic in the industrial town of Pimpri Chinchwad, when a 12-year-old girl was kidnapped in broad daylight.
This incident occurred near Queenstown Society in Chinchwad when the girl was returning home from school. Around 4 pm, she landed off the bus and went to buy a pen in the shop next to the society. The kidnappers were already waiting in a car. They forcibly took her into the car and fled when she was returning from the shop My Mart.
Hearing her shout, the shopkeeper followed the car with his moped but could not catch them. He first informed the girl’s parents and later the police.
After nine hours of search, Pimpri Chinchwad police rescued the girl from Nere village near Hinjewadi.
Police have arrested Nitin Satwant Gajral (25), native of Devgaon in Paranda taluka of Osmanabad district, who lived in Nere village and Jitendra Pappuram Banjara (21) of Thergaon, Pune. One of them works in the cinema hall while the other serves as the delivery boy.
The girl’s uncle has lodged a complaint in this regard with Chinchwad police station.
All the police teams of Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerate gathered in search of the girl. Footage of CCTV cameras installed in the entire area was also checked but the car in which the girl was kidnapped could not be traced. R
The kidnappers called the parents of the girl around 8 pm and demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakhs. In the meantime, a team of crime branch, traced the location and rescued her safely from Nere near Hinjewadi around 1 am Friday.
Police said that the kidnappers wanted to start their own business and hence they planned the kidnapping.
