Chinchwad Police Collect Rs 1.25 Lakh Fine

Chinchwad, 24th May 2021: In a major drive against people found violating lockdown rule, Chinchwad police station officials today collected a total of Rs 1.25 lakh fine. The violators included people out for walking, not wearing the mask as well as more guests at a wedding ceremony.

According to DCP (Zone 1) Manchak Ipper, 32 extra guests than sanctioned were found at a wedding ceremony at Neo Woods Banquet Hall, Chinchwadnagar. Each of them was fined Rs 1000 while the hall owner was fined Rs 10,000.

In another case, Rajesh Lot of Kakade Park, Chinchwad, was fined Rs 10,000 for organising a procession during puja before a wedding.

Also, between 5 pm to 8.30 pm, a total of 92 people were found walking near the riverside in Kakade Park and each of them was fined Rs 500. An establishment owner was fined Rs 5000.

During nakabandi at Chaphekar Chowk and Eagle Hotel, 44 persons were caught roaming around unnecessarily as well as without wearing the mask.

The action was taken by a team under the guidance of ACP Sagar Kavade, Senior Police Inspector Sudhakar Kate and Police Inspector (Crime) Vishwajeet Khule. The team included PSI Mane and police personnel Santosh Fawde, Vinod Salve, Sudhakar Avtade, Adinath Nangre, Shraddha Bhargude, Suraj Ubale, Prabhakar Khade, Swapnil Shelar, Mali and Gramsuraksha Rakshak Prasad Kudale.
