Chipko Protest To Be Held In Pune, Youth United Against Cutting Of 7500 Trees
Deccan, 29th April 2023: For the Mula Mutha river improvement project in Pune, the trees in the river area will be cut. Environmentalists in Pune are united against the cutting of 7,500 trees.
Environmentalists in Pune will hold a Chipko protest today against the trees that are going to be cut in the Mula Mutha river improvement project in Pune. Environmentalists say that the protest will be held at 5 pm on Jangli Maharaj Road in Pune and the Chipko protest by Sundarlal Bahuguna will be repeated today.
All the protestors are going to hug the trees on Jangli Maharaj Road this evening. Citizens have shown opposition to cutting trees in the said river improvement project. This movement will be held to save the trees.
