CID must probe Kondhwa wakf land sale scam : MLA Imtiaz Jaleel
Jaleel has written a letter to the CM demanding arrest of all the suspects in connection with massive wakf land scam in Kondhwa
AURANGABAD: All India Majlis E Ittehadul Muslimeen and sitting MLA of Maharashtra State Assembly Imtiaz Jaleel has demanded all the transactions related to sale/ lease/ resale related to Kondhwa Wakf land in Survey No 55 as illegal and demanded registration of criminal cases against the suspects for cheating the nation and its people. Jaleel in his letter to the Chief Minister stated that the entire portion of the wakf land situated in Survey No 55 was wakf land and meant for the poor and needy. The property is estimated to be worth Rs 500 crores in the market.
Jaleel further said that the those involved in the illegal sale ofWakf properties were doing anti national act by depriving the rightful beneficiaries through their corrupt, , malafide and shady actions. “ The CID probe will bring about the truth and the results will be out in public soon. The thieves in Kondhwa wakf land grab will definitely go to jail and the police will take action soon .Wakf land cannot be sold or bought and hence it the property of the community and the nation ,” he said.
MIM office bearers pursuing the case expressed confidence that the land will soon to be returned to the muslims by the state government citing that there was lot of anger and resentment against the corrupt trustees not only in Pune but across the state. According to them, the government is likely to hand over the possession of the said land for national development of the community based on a strong complaint lodged by firebrand and fearless legislator Imtiaz Jaleel of Majlis E Ittehadul Muslimeen.
The MIM party too has petitioned the government saying that the trustees had illegally sold the community and national real estate to the thieves and must be sent to jail. The MIM party bearers have further requested the government to immediate arrest of the trustees under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and set up a dedicated fast track court and compulsorily jail the suspects so that justice is done to the poor and needy muslims.
The office bearers have said that certain unscrupulous persons and agents who have illegally sold public land worth crores of rupees in Kondhwa were behind the illegal transactions with builders and developers for the land belonging to wakf. “ These anti national thieves have relations with agents at land record offices and grease their palms by preparing forged documents.These habitual offenders who form a chain with some old elected representatives and rich men have colluded together in siphoning off the land meant for the poor and needy muslim. Fortunately, a major portion of the wakf land is open and only minor encroachments are there which will be removed by the PMC msoon ,” he said.
Moreover, all the legal papers are in favour of the wakf board while the crimes committed by the trustees and their henchmen is also on record which will make sending them to jails an easy task , the activists alleged .The MIM officials have also demanded longer and harsher prison sentences post conviction for the culprits enagaged in the sale of wakf land.
Jaleel who has been titled as the liberator of Wakf lands by his supporters in Maharashtra, has been instrumental in taking legal possession of a 100 crore Wakf land at Kranti Chowk , has emerged to be a champion of national muslim wakf land cause whose words are given the highest respect by the state government led by Chief Minister Devendra Phadnavis, his supporters informed the media. MIM worker maintained that wakf thieves in Kondhwa cannot fool the community henceforth as they are under the scanner of public eye and the State Government for their heinous crimes.
The MIM legal cell under the guidance of senior leader Saleem Mulla who has taken up the case with the Chief Ministers Office said that all legal papers of the said wakf land are in proper order and there should not be any problem in putting the land to community use and development. The legal team comprising of senior retired officers of the civil services have completed all the paper work and the said property will now be used for the growth and development of the muslim community.
” MIM has already scored a major victory when our MLA took the legal possession of large land parcel of wakf land in national interest and handed it over to the Wakf Board with the help of the police and district administration. As per the directions of Hon MLA Imtiaz Jaleel and the party leadership all legal steps have been initiated for new trustees for the said land , ” he added.Mulla added that all the concerned departments of the government have been apprised of the hard core wakf thieves and their nefarious activities.
