Pune, 8th April 2025: In a serious breach of exam confidentiality, the Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has filed a police complaint against 21 YouTube channels for allegedly sharing the leaked and solved Class 9 Marathi exam paper from the ongoing PAT-2 examinations for the academic year 2024–25.

The PAT (Periodic Assessment Test) is conducted across Maharashtra under the STARS initiative for school students. The question papers are centrally prepared by SCERT and distributed to government schools, municipal schools, and private-aided institutions across the state.

However, on Monday, the Class 9 Marathi question paper was reportedly leaked and began circulating on social media platforms. Multiple YouTube channels uploaded videos showing the question paper and providing solutions, raising serious concerns about exam integrity.

SCERT Files Complaint at Faraskhana Police Station
In response, SCERT Assistant Director Sangeeta Shinde lodged a formal complaint at Faraskhana Police Station. The complaint names 21 YouTube channels including Scholarship Study, Tutor ADM, Knowledge Ganga, Aniket, AA Classes, Prashant Ware Artist, Zen Z Learning by M_R, HT Study 2.0, Learn with Anu 21, @Semi Marathi Class, Bhashanmitra, RD Club, SB Suraj Creation, MH Education, YC Education Maharashtra, Shivstuti Writing, Me Guruji, MH Study, Study Time, Study Partner, and others.

These channels are accused of uploading the leaked exam paper and sharing solutions without authorization from SCERT, in violation of official regulations. The complaint also seeks action against unidentified individuals who may have provided the question papers to these YouTube content creators.

This marks the first time SCERT has taken legal action regarding a PAT paper leak—signaling a tougher approach to safeguarding the confidentiality and integrity of student assessments.
