Mumbai, 11th February 2025: In the ongoing sparking and trending social media controversy of YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, he is slammed for his latest comment on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, where he asked a contestant. “Would you rather watch their parents have sex for the rest of their lives or join them once and put a stop to it?”

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has stated that anyone who crosses the limits of decency will face appropriate action. Answering the media, Fadnavis said, “I have been informed about this, though I have not watched it yet. I came to know that it was very vulgar, and this was wrong. Everyone has freedom of speech, but this freedom ends when we encroach upon others’ freedom. Everyone has limits; if anyone crosses them, action will be taken. This statement by the Chief Minister himself gets highlighted, and netizens continue trolling with negative comments over the internet.

By calling it a joke on the show, sitting alongside Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchalani, Apoorva Mukhija, and Jasprit Singh as co-judges, all with millions of followers, the face of Beer Biceps is facing major drawbacks for this. Meanwhile, Allahbadia has come up with an apology video “I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s Got
Latent. I’m sorry,” he wrote in the caption for his apology video. “My comment was not just inappropriate; it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wished to use my platform, and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context, justification, or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here to apologize. I had a lapse in judgment. It was not cool on my part,” he said in his
apology video.

Even after this, the outrage of people across the states of India continues, and they are filing FIR against Allahbadia this ‘vulgarity’ covered under ‘comedy’ doesn’t seem to be quite covered well by an apology video.
