Cockroach Janata Party Volunteers Hoist Tricolour at Jantar Mantar, Detained by Delhi Police

New Delhi, 13th October 2026: Volunteers of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) entered the heavily barricaded protest site at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Tuesday morning and hoisted the national flag, according to a press release issued by the party.

CJP members Ashutosh Ranka, Saurav Das and Ajinkya Shinde, along with other volunteers, entered the tightly secured protest site and hoisted the Tricolour.

Following the action, Delhi Police detained Ranka, Das, Shinde and other CJP volunteers.

The party said the flag-hoisting marked its return to the protest site, where it had re-established its presence.
