Complete arrangements for rehabilitation of displaced families will be ensured : Dr Raman Singh

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has assured of facilitating complete arrangements for rehabilitation of the small traders in Bagbahara town of Mahasamund district, who are being displaced by Railway. Dr Singh had a telephonic conversation with Collector of Mahasamund district regarding relocation of the traders. Dr Singh directed that they should not be removed until all the arrangements for their rehabilitation and relocation is made. Delegation of affected traders led by Khallari MLA Mr. Chunnilal Sahu today met Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh at his residence office and conveyed their grievances. Delegation told Chief Minister that since last 50 years, they have been residing and practicing small trades on railway’s land. Most of the traders are engaged in vegetable selling. Some of the families have even built small houses. In this way, removal of encroachment will affect nearly 30 families. Railway is clearing encroachment of its land for construction of housing colony there. They told that the construction work in the area, where Municipal Council is relocating them, has not yet been completed. They requested to postpone relocation till the end of winter season and demanded housing facility for homeless families. Chief Minister gave patient hearing to their grievances and instructed Collector to deal with the issue on a considerate note. Delegation included Municipal Council’s Alderman Mr. Prem Sahu, Mr. Narendra Rathore, Mr. Chhagan Sahu, Mr. Chaitram, Mr. Narayan Jagwani and others.
