Shivajinagar, 27th November 2025: A Constitution Day rally advocating for peace and a crime-free India was organised in Pune on Wednesday by the Yuvasathi Samajik Manch. The march began at Balgandharva Rangmandir and concluded at Kalakar Katta, drawing participation from artists, students, citizens, and social workers.
Artists including Mahesh Deshmukh, Altaf Sheikh, Sujit Gaikwad, and Rajvaibhav Ramchandra joined the rally alongside a large number of youngsters and local residents. Participants carried copies of the Constitution, the national flag, and placards highlighting issues such as unemployment and rising crime.
Slogans displayed during the march included “Education, jobs, rights – stop crime” and “Government must address unemployment to curb crime,” aiming to draw attention to social concerns while emphasising the relevance of constitutional rights.

Advocate Natha Deshmukh, speaking during the event, said unemployment is a key reason behind increasing crime. “We invoke the Constitution when our rights are violated, but we must also adopt constitutional values in our daily lives. Only then can we ensure justice and progress,” he added.
Several citizens addressed the gathering, underscoring the importance of safeguarding the Constitution and spreading awareness about its role in ensuring equality, justice, and democratic governance.
The rally concluded with participants reading out the Preamble to the Constitution, reaffirming their commitment to constitutional ideals.
