Container Overturns Causing Traffic Standstill On Mumbai-Pune Expressway
Lonavala, 7th August 2023: There has been a troubling escalation in the number of accidents on the ‘Mumbai-Pune Expressway’ over the past few days. Today, the situation exacerbated further as a container overturned during the evening, resulting in a complete traffic standstill for Pune bound vehicles.
Merely days ago, a crack emerged on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, prompting swift debris removal operations to commence on the succeeding day. This endeavor was undertaken to address the obstruction caused by a previous landslide. Unfortunately, the region was once again met with another untoward incident today.

In a recent occurrence, an overturned container brought traffic to a halt during the evening hours. No casualties were reported in connection with this accident. The mishap unfolded as the driver lost control, leading to the container toppling over on the expressway.
As a consequence of this incident, traffic has grinded to a halt, particularly affecting the flow of vehicles headed towards Pune. The highway police are actively engaged in efforts to streamline the traffic and alleviate the resulting congestion.
