Coronavirus : 227 discharged from hospitals, 76  fresh cases in Pune District

Pune, June 1, 2020: With the addition of 76 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 7826 in Pune district. Also, 227 patients got discharged from hospitals while 8 people died.

 

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 7826 patients 4729 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 345 people have died. There are still 2752 active patients undergoing treatment including 210 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area.

 

The 7826 patients include 6601 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 526 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 309 from Pune Cantonment, 33 from Khadki Cantonment, 2 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 355 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 9 from Baramati town, 8 from Baramati rural, 50 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 2 from Talegaon Dabhade, 1 from Chakan, 1 from Saswad, 2 from Lonavala,1 from Shirur town, 98 from Haveli, 17 from Shirur, 22  from Junnar, 23 from Khed, 20 from Mulshi, 31 from Velha, 17 from Bhor, 5 from Indapur, 2 from Daund rural, 12 from Maval, 5  from Purandar and 28 from Ambegaon.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 2361 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 70,013 . Also, 76 people died while 779 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 37,534 active cases. The total death toll stands at 2362, while 30,108 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 190,535 across the country. Out of this, 91,818 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 5394 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 93,322 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
