Pune Police issues curfew order as per lockdown 5 guidelines

Pune, June 1, 2020: Maharashtra government has issued detailed guidelines for lockdown 5, Mission Begin Again, based on central government directives. A restriction has been put on the movement of people, vehicles between 9 pm to 5 am from June 1 to 30.

Now to implement this restriction, Joint Commissioner of Pune Police, Dr Ravindra Shisve, has issued curfew order under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). “No person shall come out on the road or lane between 9 pm to 5 am. Also, there is a ban on the use of cycle, two-wheeler, three-wheeler and all other vehicles. Standing or walking is also not allowed. Any violation of the curfew order will result in penal action for an offence under section 188 (disobedience of order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant section of the Epidemic Diseases Act“, states the curfew order which will remain in force from June 1 to 30.

Meanwhile, in Pune city, 57 Coronavirus positive patients were found today, while six people have died. Also, 168 people were discharged after they fully recovered from Coronavirus. The total number of patients in the city has reached 6,529 out of which 320 patients have died, while 3950 have been cured.
