Coronavirus: 34,884 New COVID Cases, Tally reaches to 10,38,716

New Delhi, 18 July 2020: India’s tally of coronavirus cases crossed 10 lakh on Friday with 34,956 new patients testing positive, a new high in daily cases, while the toll rose to 25,602 with 687 casualties in 24 hours. Friday was the second consecutive day when the country reported over 30,000 cases.

So far 10,38,716 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in India. Of these, 3,58,692 cases and 6,53,751 people have been cured. At the same time, 26,273 people have died. The Ministry of Health has given information about this. According to the ministry, 34,884 cases have been confirmed during the last 24 hours and 671 people have died. So far 62.94 patients have recovered from the infection. This is the third consecutive day that more than 30,000 cases of corona have been reported in the country. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 3,61,024 sample tests have been conducted during the last 24 hours in the country. As of 17 July, a total of 1,34,33,742 sample tests have been conducted.

According to the ministry, Maharashtra has reported the highest number of corona cases in the country. So far, 2,92,589 cases have been confirmed and 11,452 people have died. Tamil Nadu has reported 1,60,907 cases and 2,315 people have died. So far, 1,20,107 cases have been reported in Delhi and 3,571 people have died.
