Pune: 1904 new Corona patients in Pune district, 29 deaths

Pune, July 17, 2020: With the addition of 1362 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 46,872 in Pune district. Also, 1362 patients got discharged from hospitals while 29 people died.

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 46872 patients 30,283 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 1243 people have died. There are still 15308 active patients undergoing treatment including 666 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 2,84,478  people have been tested in the district.

The 46872 patients include 31,622 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 10077 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 690 from Pune Cantonment, 428 from Khadki Cantonment, 129 from Dehuroad Cantonment, 3052 from Pune rural areas and 874 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district. In the Pune rural areas and Nagar Parishad, there are 50 from Baramati town, 21 from Baramati rural, 179 from Daund town, 21 from Jejuri, 94 from Talegaon Dabhade, 108 from Chakan, 190 from Saswad, 44 from Alandi, 23 from Lonavala, 30 from Shirur town, 22  from Junnar town, 32 from Indapur town, 16 from Bhor town, 10 from Vadgaon, 55 from Rajguru Nagar, 1280 from Haveli, 162 from Shirur, 217 from Junnar rural, 362 from Khed, 294 from Mulshi, 50 from Velha, 107 from Bhor, 44 from Indapur rural, 91 from Daund rural, 182 from Maval, 114 from Purandar and 128 from Ambegaon.

In Maharashtra, a total of 2217 patients were discharged while 8308 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday. 258 people died due to Coronavirus in the state. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 2,92,589 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the state health department, 1,60,357 patients have been cured. As of yesterday, there are 1,20,480 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 54.81% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.91%.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,038,716 across the country. Out of this, 653,750 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 26,273 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 3,58,692 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
