Coronavirus in Pune: 194 people discharged, 108 new COVID19 cases today

Pune, May 30, 2020: A total of 194 patients who had overcome COVID19 were discharged from hospitals in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Also, 108 new Coronavirus positive patients were detected in Pune city today, while seven people lost their lives.
According to the PMC health department, the total number of COVID cases has reached 6201 out of which 3644 people have been cured while 308 people have died due to Coronavirus. There are 2248 active patients in hospitals at present including 170 critical patients. Today swab samples of 1200 people were collected for COVID test. Till now samples of 48961 have been tested.
During the day, 194 patients who had recovered from COVID19 were discharged from hospitals. Among them, 121 patients were from Naidu hospital and other PMC centres, 7 from Sassoon and 66 from private hospitals. Today, a total of 7 patients have died of Coronavirus. It includes six men and one woman. Among the dead patients are six senior citizens. Also, an 89-year-old female patient from Daund died at a private hospital due to corona.
Also among the dead patients is a 57-year-old male Pune Municipal Corporation employee. So far, a total of 308 patients have lost their lives due to corona in Pune municipal limits.
