Coronavirus in Pune: 207 people discharged, 268 new patients detected today

Pune, June 11, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 207 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 268 new patients were detected while 7 patients died. Today swab samples of 2043 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 8777 out of which 5782 have been cured while 413 have died. There are still 2528 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 216 critical patients out of which 53 are on ventilator support. Till now 66487 people have been tested in Pune city.
Among the seven deaths, six were men and one woman, all were between the age group 31 to 82 years. They were residents of Uruli Devachi, Dhankawadi, Lohiyanagar in Ganj Peth, Shivnerinagar in Kondhwa, New Mangalwar Peth, Ramtekdi in Hadapsar and Krishnanagar in Mohammadwadi.
Across Maharashtra, there were 3607 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 97,648. Also, 152 people died while 1561 got discharged from hospitals after being cured. There are still 47,968 active cases. The total death toll stands at 3590, while 46,078 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 286578 across the country. Out of this, 141028 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 8102 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 137448 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
