Coronavirus : One more person found positive, total 19 cases in Pune now
Pune, March 18, 2020: With one more person found to be Corona positive today, Maharashtra now has total 45 Corona positive patients out of which one person died in Mumbai yesterday. In Pune district the number of positive cases has increased to 19 now.
The Corona positive found today morning is a 32-year old woman from Netherlands who had come to Pune from Netherlands via Dubai. A 21-year-old old male with travel to Philippines, Singapore and Colombo found positive in Pimpri Chinchwad, today evening.
Today 58 suspected Corona patients have been hospitalized in the state and there are 1227 travellers who have travelled from the Corona affected areas. In various quarantine cells through out the state, there are 958 persons kept in quarantine wards who are affected with cough, cold and fever since January 18th. The samples of 865 persons admitted so far have been found to be negative while those of 42 are positive.
The quarantine wards have been started in all the district hospitals, Government medical colleges as a measure of novel Corona virus preventive and control measure. As per directions of Union Government, all the international passengers coming to India are screened at air ports and those having symptoms are taken to quarantine wards. Tope told that, out of total 1227 who have travelled from affected areas, follow up for 14 days for 442 passengers is complete.
