“A view has emerged in last few days that all is well, this mindset is not correct. To deal with coronavirus, no definite solution has been found, nor has any vaccine produced. In such a situation, it is natural to worry. I want some weeks of yours, some time of yours. I request all people in country to get out of house only when it is extremely necessary, try and do all work from home. All senior citizens in our family should not get out of houses. Social distancing is extremely important and effective in reducing impact of coronavirus”, PM Modi said.

He further said that even the World War I and II did not affect as many countries as coronavirus has done. Restrain is compulsory to protect ourselves and remain healthy. I request that for the coming weeks people should go out of their homes only if essential.

This crisis has engulfed the entire human race. For the past two months, we have been watching with concern the news about coronavirus spreading across the world. For a developing country like ours with a large population the growing challenge of Coronavirus is not a normal situation, he further added.

He also appealed people not to buy grocery items, milk, vegetable etc in bulk as they every effort is being made to ensure their availability.
