New Delhi, 28 Sep,  2020: Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in India. The total number of cases in the country has reached to more than 60 lakhs and more than 95 thousand people have died. According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, more than 82 thousand cases of corona have been reported and 1139 people have died. The total recoveries have jumped to 5,016,520 with recovery of 74,893 patients in the last 24 hours.

 

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 6,074,702 across the country. Out of this, 5,016,520 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 95,542 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 962,640 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.

 

 

Highest cases in Maharashtra

 

Maharashtra has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases in the country. Across Maharashtra, there were 18,056 new COVID19 cases yesterday taking the total number of cases to 13,39,232. Also, 380  people died while 13,565 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 2,73,228 active cases. Till now 10,30,015 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 76.91 %.
