Pune, May 19, 2020: This survey is being conducted by Pune Police to ascertain particular requirements of citizens during the lockdown and to understand in depth what could be the ways by which we can minimize the spread of the Coronavirus further.

Pune City Police tweeted, “Requesting citizens to please take this small 2 min survey that we are conducting for us to understand the various needs to venture out of the house & how we can work towards solving the same. Link- https://bit.ly/2y66EQk

Punekars have appreciated the move by Pune police and they are participating in the survey. “I appreciate this initiative and each Punekar must participate. This is for the self-help. It will give policymakers to decide the strategy. I will forward to my friends staying in Pune City. All the best to your team”, Jeetendra Raval tweeted.

Shirish Subramanian from Pimpri Chinchwad tweeted, “This is a great initiative! I have answered from the PCMC area. I hope PCMC Police is also a part of this initiative! Will also share to improve reach.” There are many others who are sharing the survey link with their friends and family members and appealing to to fill the forms.

Maharashtra government has extended the lockdown till May 31 in the state due to rising number of Coronavirus positive cases. In Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area which is under the jurisdiction of Pune city police, the number of COVID patients has crossed 3600 out of which more than 1800 have been cured while 200 have died. There are more than 1500 active patients still in the city.
