New Delhi, 13th June 2021: The process of trial of corona vaccine on children is going on in AIIMS. Many children between the ages of 12 and 18 have been given the first dose of Covaxine. 

In this matter on Monday, screening of children of 6 to 12 years will be done. After giving the vaccine to the children of this age, the work of screening children of two to six years will start. In fact, in many hospitals of the country, 525 children between the ages of two and 18 are being tested for the vaccine. 

Earlier, 30 children in the age group of 12 to 18 years were screened at AIIMS, out of which after giving the vaccine to many children, children of the second category will be screened. After the screening report is received, the dosage will also be given to children of 6 to 12 years.

Trial on 12 to 18 year olds started this week: The vaccine trial started on Wednesday in AIIMS on children aged 12 to 18 years. After the dose, everyone was sent home. However, AIIMS experts will continue to take information about the health of the children from their parents. After 28 days, after testing the antibodies, they will be given a second dose. Earlier, health check-up of these children was done. After being found completely healthy in the test report, they were given a dose of vaccine.

IMA will protest in favour of doctors: On June 18, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) will protest against the incidents of violence and assault against doctors across the country. National President of IMA, JA Jayalal said that, IMA pays tribute to 724 corona warrior doctors across the country, as well as expresses its gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he has clearly said that nothing will be tolerated against vaccination.
