Pune, 24th December 2022: As the Coronavirus disease (Covid19) cases are on the rise in some countries, Puneites are thronging to the vaccination centres for booster dose. However, most of them have to return disappointed as the vaccines are not available.

At the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Kamala Nehru Hospital in Mangalwar Peth, people were seen making enquiries for the vaccine.

“The lift is not functioning so I went to the vaccination centre on the fifth floor through stairs. But I was told Covishield vaccine is not available. The staff told me that vaccine doses will be available from the next month” , said Kunal More (35), a resident of Somwar Peth.

A notice has been put up at the hospital stating that vaccines are not available.

Sohil Shah tweeted, “Hello PMC team. Me n my mother need to take booster dose of COVID vaccine (covshield) but not even a single center is available at 411006 or near by areas . Kindly help”

PMC health officer and Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar did not respond to calls and messages about the vaccine shortage in Pune.
