Pune, 5th January 2022: Joint Commissioner of Pune City Police Ravindra Shisve today took a humble call, requesting Punekars to follow all Covid safety protocols like wearing a mask and maintaining social distance in public places.

“Till yesterday, there were 1105 COVID positive patients in Pune but today the number reached 1805 which means the third wave has started.

We have together survived the 1st wave, 2nd wave of COVID pandemic, Ganesh Chaturthi, New Year successfully and we will get through this as well”, the senior IPS officer stated in his video message.

He also warned that citizens roaming without a mask will be fined heavily.

“Use a mask compulsorily, carry a bottle of sanitizer everywhere and most importantly follow social distancing. If social distancing is not being followed then there are more chances of danger and damage. We will begin the crackdown soon to ensure that all COVID preventive measures are followed”, the officer warned.
