Covid Vaccination Drive For Children Begins Today At 40 Centres In Pune

Pune, 3rd January 2022: The vaccination drive for children has started today in Pune city. 40 centres have been set up in each ward of the city for the vaccination of children in the age group of 15 to 18 years. All these children are being given Covaxin doses.

 

On Christmas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the launch of a vaccination campaign for children. Accordingly, the Pune municipal corporation (PMC) has launched the drive from today.

Registration for the vaccination of children had started on Saturday, 1st January with 50% online and 50% offline. As a result, 50 percent of children will be able to come and register on the spot. Those born in 2007 or earlier will be eligible for this vaccination.

People can register online on the Cowin app, the registration will begin from 8 am. Today PMC plans to give vaccine doses to 10,000 children in the city.
