CUET UG 2024 Exam to Commence on 15th May
Pune, 9th May 2024: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2024 exam is scheduled to commence on May 15th. CUET UG serves as the gateway for admission to undergraduate courses in Central and Affiliated Universities for the academic session 2024. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced some significant changes to the exam format this year.
NTA administers the CUET UG 2024 exam for students aspiring to pursue postgraduate courses in Central and other participating universities/institutes. This year, the CUET UG exam will be conducted in a hybrid mode, encompassing both online and offline components. For subjects with high enrollment, the examination will be administered offline using OMR sheets. This modification aims to facilitate candidates in taking the exam conveniently close to their residences.
The CUET UG exam will be conducted in 13 languages. While the examination will be conducted in English at all examination centres nationwide, candidates will also have the option to take the exam in the local language of their respective state. Under this provision, students from Maharashtra can opt to take the exam in either English or Marathi.
Candidates must solve 40 out of 50 questions in each language subject and 50 out of 60 questions in the General Knowledge exam. The time allotted for Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, and Computer subjects is 60 minutes, whereas for other subjects, it is 45 minutes.
