Pune: Maharashtra State Board Raises 10th Exam Fees

Pune, 9th May 2024: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced an increase in the 10th exam fees. This revised fee structure will be applicable for the July-August 2024 and main examinations in 2025, placing an added financial burden on students and parents.

According to the circular issued by the state board, students will now have to pay various fees, including Rs 470 as exam fee, Rs 20 for administrative purposes, Rs 20 for mark sheet lamination, Rs 20 for certificate issuance, Rs 10 for practical exam (for Science subjects), Rs 100 for practical exam (for Technical subjects), and Rs 130 for private student name registration application (including information booklet). Additionally, a private student registration fee of Rs 1,210 will be charged.

The increased fees for repeaters and students appearing for exams with optional subjects have been detailed on the state board’s website.

Anuradha Oak, the secretary of the state board, announced these fee adjustments via a press release, which also includes revised fees for students seeking category improvement.
