Pune, 18th October 2023: In a remarkable operation driven by precise intelligence, the Customs team at IGI Airport has successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a staggering 1.5 lakh Peacock Tail Feathers, weighing a substantial 125 kilograms, destined for Bangkok.

This daring act of wildlife trafficking has raised concerns, invoking the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972, coupled with the Customs Act of 1962.

The interception involved four Indian passengers who were apprehended in the act, setting off a series of ongoing investigations.
