Pune, 22 December 2020: The decision regarding water distribution for Pune city and rural areas of the district will be taken after January 21, 2021, owing to the Code of Conduct in the state for Grampanchyat elections.

Every year a meeting is held over the distribution of water of Khadakwasla dam in October. This year due to Covid-19 pandemic and later owing to the Teachers’ constituency elections it was postponed.

The current water storage in the dam is about 91.42 percent which is adequate for a year. But yet the planning is needed for water distribution. Meanwhile, the water has been released from the dam for Rabbi crops in the district.
