Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar Visits Drought-Hit Farms In Parbhani, Nanded, Assures Farmers Of Aid
Nanded/Parbhani, 26th September 2026: Deputy chief minister Sunetra Pawar inspected soybean crops affected by drought-like conditions during visits to farms in Parbhani and Nanded districts and assured farmers that the government would provide assistance as per norms.
Pawar visited farmer Baburao Shinde’s farm at Maradsgaon in Gangakhed taluka, Parbhani district, where she inspected soybean cultivation. She assessed the impact of the prevailing drought-like conditions on the crop and interacted with farmers to understand the extent of damage and their immediate concerns.
During her interaction with farmers from the area, Pawar sought information about crop losses and the broader agricultural situation. She assured them that the government would stand by farmers during the difficult period and that no affected farmer would be left without support.
She later visited farmer Shivaji Waghmare’s soybean field at Dhawari Phata near Loha town in Nanded district. Pawar inspected the crop and spoke to farmers about its condition, losses and the difficulties faced by farming families.
During an interaction with women farmers, Pawar assured them that the government was committed to addressing their concerns and ensuring necessary assistance.
Pawar directed the administration to objectively assess crop losses and initiate necessary action based on the ground situation. She also asked officials to ensure that the needs of affected farming families, including education of children and fodder for livestock, were taken into consideration while extending relief.
“I will not leave anyone without support. Efforts will be made to ensure that all farmers who have suffered losses receive the assistance they are entitled to under government rules,” Pawar said.
The visits come amid the state government’s decision to implement drought-related measures in 265 talukas after the first-stage drought trigger was activated based on rainfall deficiency and other indicators.
